Sauteed Green Beans
Have you been searching for the best sauteed green beans your kids will beg for? Stop here. I have this covered for you. Green beans are a great source of Vitamin A, C, K, and many minerals. If you are like me, you may not be a green been lover. This recipe will turn you into one. These sauteed green beans are to die for and your kids will beg you to make them every night.
Thanksgiving is coming quickly this year and this recipe will be your new staple Thanksgiving recipe. With a cook time of only about 20 minutes, it is an easy delicious recipe. I recommend using fresh green beans or high quality frozen green beans. We recently bought a huge bag of organic green beans at Costco and they work well in this recipe.
Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 Cups Green Beans
- 1-2 Tbsp of butter (or butter alternative)
- 1 Medium Yellow Onion
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 4 Slices of Bacon
Directions
In a large pot boil water. Once boiling add the green beans to the water and cook for 1-2 minutes (blanching them). In a big saucepan, combine butter, bacon, diced onion, and garlic. Sautee until bacon is done. Once the green beans are lightly blanched, add green beans to the pan, and sauté everything. Don’t overcook green beans. You want them to still be a little crunchy. Serve and enjoy!
Yummy Sauteed Green Beans
This recipe is super yummy. Your family will love it even if they do not care for green beans a lot. If you are vegan, you can always omit the bacon and use a butter alternative. I have made it both ways and they are still super yummy. I hope you like this recipe. If you do, please leave me a comment down below. Include some pictures too!
