Sloppy Joes is an easy recipe that can be made in under 30 minutes. This recipe is a large recipe that can used for large families, multiple lunches, or dinners. This yummy recipe will make your kids want Sloppy Joes every night!
- 2.5 LBs of hamburger meat
- 3 cans of 6 oz of tomato paste
- 2 cans 15 oz of tomato sauce
- 15 oz of water
- 2 onions diced
- 2 TBSP of olive oil
- 1 TBSP cumin
- 3-4 TBSP of chili powder
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp garlic salt
- 2-3 TBSP of brown sugar
In a large skillet, fry up the hamburger. Once done drain all the fat and juices from the pan. Add diced onions with olive oil and cook until soft. Once onions are done, add in the hamburger meat, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and all the spices and stir together. As this cooks, you may want to add more chili powder, salt, pepper, or brown sugar. Cook to your likings.
Once it is ready, add to the top of your favorite bread or bun. As a gluten free option, add your gluten free bread, hamburger or hot dog bun. It is delicious!
